Frequently Asked Questions
Peter Lynn calls these kites "small". But how can a kite twenty feet long and ten foot wide be small?? One customer said instead of instead of Small, Medium, and Large we really should rename them Large, Humongeous, and Unbelievable... If you want to see the Unbelievable ones, go to Peter Lynn Show Kites. |

Chameleon We've been tweaking the new Chameleon for nearly a year and are darned pleased with the result. A gaping mouth, lizard eyes, and a fanciful ridge-back are all interesting. But the curled tail is spectacular! And the colors shimmer in the sun and seem to change before your eyes. Choose a warm, cool, or rainbow Chameleon The size is about 12 feet long (unless you uncurl the tail!). Each piece is $450.

ZumZum: We've been looking for a fun and creative bug inflatable for years. And finally, at one of the big European festivals, we found him! Meet ZumZum, designed by Christian "Pumuckel" Laskowski and Alexandra Ruger of Germany. He's got big bug eyes, a happy smile, fluttering wings, and a cute little stinger. The ten footer is priced low enough you can stack up a swarm. Just $250 each. Or ask for the impressive 20 foot Zum Zum for $700. |

Most inflatables fly better with a lifter. That means you use another kite to provide a boost. For smaller and mid-size inflatables, don't tie the lifter line directly to the primary kite. Wind gusts or larger lifters may cause damage. Instead, anchor the lifter on one line, and the inflatable on a second line from the same anchor point. Then attach the inflatable to the line of the lifter using the "lifter loop" with a snap or other slider and let it float up the lifter-line. Squid: Here is another giant swimming performer. Flared fins create a stable lifting platform, while the long shapley body fills the sky. Eight flowing tentacles maintain stability and increase the overall sky-impact.
Can't make up your mind between a Giant Ray, Trilobite, or Octopus. Maybe the Squid is for you. It incorporates design elements from each and actually is larger then any of these other models. The Medium Squid measures a full 45 feet. Available in warm or cool for $1100.
