Peter Lynn's giant "show" kites from New Zealand are great fun to fly and have incredible crowd appeal. How big are they?? A large Gecko covers one-third the length of a football field and even a mid-sized Fugu has a larger cubic volume than the average bedroom. Sure, they cost a little bit more than your average kite, but... |

Many of the larger kites come complete with a tuning system for different winds. The main bridle line contains a series of knots. The bridle connected to the leading edge of the kite is looped around one of the knots with a larkshead.
Adjusting for different winds will improve performance and flight stability. If your kite contains two sets of bridle groups, make sure both are adjusted the same. |

The inflatable Cat or Tiger is a great flier, but you will need to use a pilot kite for stability and light-wind lift.

Another great addition to our Aquarium in the Sky range. It is made up two bodies, 8 long legs and two attack prongs. Looks great in hot, cold, rainbow or a single colour. Smaller models are blue, red, or orange with a black contrast.

Penguin: He is cool! I mean *really* cool!
Our flying Penguin floats in the air with his big yellow feet waddling below. And he flies remarkably well!

Squid: Here is another giant swimming performer from New Zealand. Flared fins create a stable lifting platform, while the long shapley body fills the sky. Eight flowing tentacles maintain stability and increase the overall sky-impact.

Need something to fly your big kite on?
|
|
Caterpillar: Now the first thing you notice about this ground bouncer is the size of it. It is big. I mean REALLY BIG! Think of a school bus parked inside. It stretches 60 feet long and 15 feet tall. The other thing you quickly discover is that she is designed with nothing for children to grab hold of. If you fly big kites, you know this is significant.

Manta Ray: We now offer a variety of options in the Manta series.
Choose the traditional patchwork design with bubble eyes and a bucket tail. This is one of the first giant soft kites, recently re-designed and one of Peter's best performers. New variations include the smooth tail Manta. This model has a solid top and bottom sail, and headlight eyes. Go one step further and add a tattoo decoration. A third option is the Andreas Fischbacher Ray, different in form and style from Peter's designs, but of course, similar in size and performance. Feeling creative? Combine elements from all three! We've pictured a smooth skin, bucket tail with headlight eyes as one example. Prices will vary depending on design and applique elements. The Ray series are steady, high-angle fliers that work well to anchor a stack from above. Sorry -- the Tattoo and Andreas Rays are not available in smaller sizes.

Custom Designs: A substantial part of the Peter Lynn business is making original designs to order - often for advertising purposes. With more than 20 years experience in this specialized field, Peter has made a huge variety of strange and wonderful shapes in framed, soft, or combination styles. They can quickly appraise whether an idea you have is practical, perhaps offer alternative suggestions, and give a "ball park" estimate which will be followed with a formal quote. Let us know what you have in mind. |
