Dave! First off, great new forum, best of luck with it.
Second of all, I greatly appreciate your updates, not only straight off your site, but we're grateful for having some of the best ones reprinted as "Dave's World" in Kitelife Magazine.
Cheers, let me know if I can ever be of service. |

| Totally Agree!! I love reading Dave's updates. I get bummed when there isn't a new one to read each week. But I have learned alot about kiting from them. I can't wait to see what the next one is. |

Actually, we are approaching Update #500 -- going back to September of 1999. In all those years, we've missed only one week.
Nathan Senda originally suggested the idea. I had no idea what I was getting into. They've been written in airplanes, train stations, and occasionally in the middle of the night in a closed hotel bathroom while Susan slept.
Got any favorite ones??

| Oh Dear where to start Dave. I really enjoyed the one about "The rest of the story" where your kite bags were stolen from your car in the hotel parking lot while in South Africa. I guess what I would really love to see is how a new kite design came to be and the testing process behind it. With all the kite designers out there I think there would be some way cool stories about their more interesting design challenges or "the kite that almost wasn't" kind of thing. |

As one who flew that show, let me ask that if you ever meet my lovely wife, PLEASE do not refer to the event as a "threesome."
I get in enough trouble as it is.... |

| I especially liked the UPDATE where you called-out the Major Kite Importers for pinching your octopus and other licensed products. The end result was G-kites, and a new pole barn on Casa Gomberg at the 45th parallel. http://www.gkites.com/update/166.html |

The "Update" page is always fun, and informative. Great deals at the bottom of it too. I start looking for it every Monday morning. Amazing that it's turned out to be such a big/favorite part of the site. Maybe, not so amazing. Keep it up, Dave! I look forward to it, every week. Barry |

I was present at the Great Mega-Ray disaster! And certainly fortunate enough not to have to help dig out the wet kite.
