Advanced kites generally come without flying line. That’s because many kiters already have line and don't want to pay for a new set with each kite they buy. If you need line, check out the options listed at the bottom of this page.

Flying a Diamond Wing Stunt Kite will give you a completely different experience than the high performance “sport” kites. The Diamonds have a larger sail area, more pull, and come with long sweeping tails. Some say the slower Diamonds are easier to fly; others say they are just another kind of fun. Stack several together and get a real workout flying your “kite train”.

Starburst Stunt Kite: When we first discovered maneuverable kites back in the Seventies, they were diamond shaped. “Stunters” came with long flowing tails, pulled hard, and roared around the sky. Flying those kites changed our lives. The Starburst harkens back to those early physical flying days. It won’t do axels, flips, or fades. But it will put a huge smile on your face as you drive it through the wind. We built the Starburst with slightly heavier framing for durability in stronger winds. Beginners will enjoy the fast learning curve, while experienced fliers will appreciate the unique diamond-wing performance. Long fabric tails add to the show as you sky-write with each loop or turn. Add several kites together in stacks for a spectacular presentation. We’ve included detachable train lines and a quick “pigtail” connection system. Each Starburst is 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide. Chevron Stunt Kite: The Chevron is the second stunter in our series of maneuverable kites. You pilot it through the air with two flying lines. We’ve made it tough, forgiving, and easy to handle. Each Chevron is 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide. A matching 45 foot tail is included. The main difference between the Chevron and the Starburst is that the Chevron is made with a slightly lighter frame. This allows better performance in lighter winds. Fly a single Chevron in 4-15 mph on 100 pound line. Stacks of up to six can use 200 pound line. Available in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, or purple with black and white accents. Each Chevron is $40. We’ve included detachable train lines and a quick “pigtail” connection system.

Flying Line: Stunt and Sport kites don’t come with line. The reason is that many kiters already have kites and don’t want to pay for new line sets with each new kite. Large padded straps included. $28 Lines for maneuverable kites are different from other kite lines. You want something that is very thin - to reduce drag. You want a line that is slippery – so when you complete loops and twist the line, you can still control the kite. You want line that has minimal stretch – so when you pull on one, the kite gets the signal. And you want a line that is durable – so you don’t need to buy more again soon.

45 Foot Skywriter Tails: Connect one behind a stunter and leave a trail in the sky! Or put several on your static kite or flying line. These colorful tails are made of tough nylon sailcloth and will add excitement to any kite. They are especially made for maneuverable kites or “skywriting” with long poles. Each “ribbon” is 45 feet long, fully hemmed, and constructed with a reinforced eyelet. The durable nylon fabric will stay bright for years. Available in Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, White, or Black for $15 each.

100 Foot "Skywriter" Ribbon: Leave a trail in the sky! Our 100 foot ribbons are made from tough nylon sailcloth and will add excitement to any kite. Use them to accent a traditional kite or for “skywriting” with maneuverable kites. Single Streamer Flag: It is one long shimmering piece of fabric. Streamers are usually used on single-line kites but they work great with Sport kityes too! Streamer Flags are simple, dramatic, and efficient. They are completely hemmed, abuse-tolerant, and available in any of the six primary colors plus black and white. Each flag is equipped with two reinforced tabs at the top for easy attachment. We have two sizes -- two feet wide and seventy-five feet long for $35 or thirteen inches wide and thirty-five feet long for just $19. The leading edge is designed so you can insert a rod or stiffener and hold it in place. Just fold back the seam, slide your spar in, and fold the seam back over. We don't provide spars because some fliers don't want them. But you have the option of flying your streamer soft or as a more rigid pennant. Available in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black, and white.
