We've now got a source for stainless steel, brass, and hardwood winders from China. These are all guaranteed to be in the "Wow! Where did you get that??" category. Use them for flying, for art displays, or just get them out of your treasure drawer every once in a while and fondle them... Take a look and see what we mean.
Hand crank winders are traditionally used in Asia to handle light or maneuverable kites. Spool line out by flicking the rotating drum with your thumb. Wind line in by cranking the spokes. They have been around for a thousand years so you know they work! We have four sizes in exotic dark hardwoods with brass accents.

Take in a lot of line fast with these exquisite extended-spoke winders. You hold the winder in a 'pistol grip" and rotate the spokes with your other hand. Line feeds in through a fishing-style eyelet and onto the guides at the end of each spoke. Choose antique hardwood, modern carbon fiber, stainless steel, or the very cool brass winder.

We don't plan to carry any of these winders on a long-term basis. Instead we're placing a one time shipment on August 1. So look over the options and email us an order.
