Peter Lynn's giant "show" kites from New Zealand are great fun to fly and have incredible crowd appeal. How big are they?? A large Gecko covers one-third the length of a football field and even a mid-sized Fugu has a larger cubic volume than the average bedroom. Sure, they cost a little bit more than your average kite, but... |

Prices on these large imported kites are based on the exchange rate with New Zealand. That rate has shown tremendous changes in the past 12 months. Prices shown here are current as of October 15, 2008. GKPI is licensed to produce the smaller and some mid-sized version of each kite design. We can also special-order the 'middies' from New Zealand at a slightly higher price. |

Octopus: Inflatable Octopi are Peter Lynn's long-term best selling single-line kites. Soft equals safe with realistic form and movement. New design refinements (but same popular shape) means they now fly in lighter and stronger winds and at a higher angle with no drogues required. Split the bridle lines for extra stability and low-altitude flying. Ask us how!
A definite show stopper! Click the photo to see color options. Over-Large (OLO): (25 x 130 feet): US$5050 (made by PL Ltd) *

Gecko: Watching this giant Peter Lynn lizard "climb" into the wind will amaze everyone. Colorful inflatable with realistic motion fills the sky. Redesigned for much improved wind range and ease of flying. This is Peter's largest kite. And as you can see whenever you log onto our site, it is one of our favorites.

Flying Dog We've got a new puppy in the garage. He is big and happy with long flappy ears, a drooling tongue, and a long wagging tail. The Dog inflates through vents above the eyes and includes a delation zipper in the back. Use a Pilot kite to lift him just off the ground for a great show! Large (40 feet tall): US$4000 (made by PL Ltd) *

Penguin: He is cool! I mean *really* cool!
Our flying Penguin floats in the air with his big yellow feet waddling below. And he flies remarkably well! Some people think our Penguin looks like a duck. Fine. If you want a "Yellow Penguin" with an orange bill, we can make those too.
Large (36 x 16 feet): US$3000 (made by PL Ltd) *

Click on the photo. Click here for a short video clip | Fugu: They're huge! This is a Bernoulli device - not a kite. When tethered on 100 feet of line, the blow fish will rhythmically bounce, rising six to ten feet in the air and then descending to touch the ground and repeat the cycle. More than 1500 brightly colored ripstop panels make an incredible impact. Especially aimed at entertaining children. Check out the mid-sized model for maximum impact for minimum dollars.
Large (23 feet): US$3500 (made by PL Ltd) *

Need something to fly your big kite on?

Caterpillar: Now the first thing you notice about this ground bouncer is the size of it. It is big. I mean REALLY BIG! Think of a school bus parked inside. It stretches 60 feet long and 15 feet tall. The other thing you quickly discover is that she is designed with nothing for children to grab hold of. If you fly big kites, you know this is significant.

Dolphin: A large inflatable kite that comes complete with "Fishtail" drogues. Dolphins can be flown on short lines close to the ground as "bouncers" and will handle very strong winds. In more moderate conditions, they fly well at higher altitudes. More than forty feet of swimming fun. Inspired by past AKA President Pete Dolphin.
Large (16 x 36 feet): US$3000 (made by PL Ltd) *

Centipede: Great visual presence - Absolutely the most exciting line device. Comprised of approximately 450 individual panels. Sinuous flying
motion. Provides strong lift when flown under any "pilot" kite. Easy to assemble with only two spars (feelers).
Large (13 x 45 feet): US$3000 (made by PL Ltd) *

Custom Designs: A substantial part of the Peter Lynn business is making original designs to order - often for advertising purposes. With more than 20 years experience in this specialized field, Peter has made a huge variety
of strange and wonderful shapes in framed, soft, or combination styles. They can quickly appraise whether an idea you have is practical, perhaps offer alternative suggestions, and give a "ball park" estimate which will be followed with a formal quote.

Please Note: Special care is required when flying large and heavy pulling kites or ground devices.
Such care includes but is not limited to the following:
